Curator and artist Jonas Vansteenkiste brings the second edition of the City Trip exhibition to Menen with La Société du Spectacle. Once again, you can discover artworks that take themes such as public space, urban planning, and architecture as their starting point.
How is public space shaped, and what motivates certain interventions? Can we speak of a “Disneyfication” as spectacle and marketing take center stage? What remains real and organic, and what is fake and constructed? How does power relate to certain choices in our immediate environment, and vice versa?
At City Trip 2, you will encounter impressive installations, poetic photography, and iconic art videos that intersect at the crossroads of artistic reflection, imagination, danger, and humor.
